I was raised in a farming family, growing up with musical opportunities as expansive as the prairie skies I love. Whether diligently teaching me piano or driving me 200 miles for lessons or paying for years of vocal training, my parents were instrumental to my musical development.
When I was very young, my mom shared the good news of how Jesus had shed his blood on the cross so that the blackness of my sinful heart could become white as snow and I could be with Jesus in heaven one day. Growing up, my dad built on that foundation by showing me that logic, science, and the Bible all work together. Through the storms of life, God keeps showing me that He is good, He is with me, and He cares. Every day is a chance for me to grow in my trust of God.
With 30 years of marriage and the raising of three children to young adulthood under our belts, my husband Rodney and I are looking to God for what adventures he has next for us. It will likely be a combination of creativity, hospitality, and sharing with people what Jesus has done in our lives.
